Breathing is one of the most vital thing you do in your life.
It is, with eating, the main way you get your energy from your environment.
So, if you pay attention to how you eat, you should definitely pay attention to how you breathe!
Each day you take between 20 000 and 30 000 breaths, most of which are unconscious. These are vital to the proper functioning of your system on so many levels.
And most people are not doing it properly.
Respiration is so special because the way we breathe is closely linked to the way we feel.
You’re not gonna breathe the same way if you’re relaxed or stressed, happy or sad, laughing or crying.

And it actually goes both way!
If you breathe in a relaxed manner, you’ll also feel more relaxed, but if you breathe in a stressful way, you’ll have a hard time feeling composed.
Moreover, the way you breathe automatically is a habit, a learned process based on your life experiences.
And that’s why trauma is such an important element in understanding why you breathe the way you do!
We all carry wounds and trauma, often rooted in feelings of unsafety, rejection, abandonment, shaming, injustice… and these can lead to an unhealthy way of breathing contributing to your stress and anxiety.
The good news is that your breathing pattern is just a habit, so it can be changed with practice!
You can do so by practicing the right technique to balance the way you breathe, which is what I can teach you to do in these Private Functional Breathing sessions!
